Tim Speedle hated beach crime scenes. There was always a chance of evidence being lost, either contaminated with sand or washed away completely by waves and rising tide. And the sand got into everything, not just the evidence; there were times Tim swore he'd brought half of the beach home in his shoes and his kit.
And then there were the people on the beach. Not the witnesses or onlookers, but the people who thought the rules about crime scenes didn't apply to them.
